2014 Schedule of Outing and Events
The Door County Land Trust invites you to come celebrate Door County's
beautiful open spaces. Browse our Celebrating Open Spaces book for
Explore the Door hikes, Dining for Open Spaces outings, and other special
events. You'll find many ways for the Door County community to connect with and
celebrate the lands it loves. Many events are free and open to the public, and
others, like our Dining for Open Spaces events, help raise funds to protect Door

"Explore the Door " Hikes and Outing Series
Free outings are held each month throughout Door County-
See Current Schedule
ski, or snowshoe with us to special places in Door County! The "Explore the Door" outing series
offers Land Trust members a variety of outdoor adventures led by
staff or trained Door County Land Trust volunteer hike leaders.
We'll visit different locations throughout Door County each
month. All "Explore the
Door" outings are free of charge, but pre-registration is required.

Dining for Open Spaces
Several events held June through October - throughout
hope youíll gather around one of the
Door County Land Trustís Dining for Open Spaces tables this year. The Dining for Open Spaces
is an annual series of events hosted by Land Trust members to benefit
the Door County Land Trust. They welcome other fellow land
preservation enthusiasts into their homes for brunches, lunches,
cocktail parties and dinners. Most Dining events include a visit
to one of Door Countyís beautiful open spaces.

Door County Sea Kayak Symposium
July 11-13 - Rowleys Bay
and throughout Door County
Paddlesports of Madison sponsors this annual event held each July and
donates part of its proceeds to the Door County Land Trust. Itís
a great weekend for novices and seasoned kayakers alike!

Annual Membership Gathering Weekend
August 23-24 - Grand View Scenic Overlook and Park
Save the date! Join us for a weekend celebration of this
county we love!
Saturday hikes will be offered at several
nature preserves throughout the county and the Annual Gathering picnic occurs
Sunday afternoon. Itís a summer celebration the Land Trust community looks
forward to all year; you wonít want to miss it! Invitations and more information
will be mailed in July, but mark your calendars now.
