Cost of
Community Service Study
|
|

A Cost of Community Service Study was
conducted for Door County in 2004
by an independent consultant, Mary Edwards—PhD in Urban
and Regional Planning.
The Door County Cost of Community
Services Study found that:
A Cost of Community Service Study compares the costs
a community incurs servicing certain
categories of land use to the revenues generated to that
community in the form of taxes, licenses, permits and
other fees.
The Door County Study examined two townships: Nasewaupee—selected
because of its rural nature, and Gibraltar—selected
because it represents an area impacted by tourism and
residential development.
This study was sponsored by the Door County
Environmental Council and the Door County Land Trust.
