Click here to view Earth Day photos.The Door County Land Trust received a collection of Earth Day photos from Land Trust members Nancy Aten and Dan Collins. The photos were taken at their conservation easement- protected property within the Door County Land Trust’s Bay Shore Blufflands project area and are an inspiring chronicle of the many creatures who call their restored wetlands “home.” The photos include red-backed salamanders, caddisfly larvae, marsh marigolds and Sandhill cranes with incubating eggs. Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve photos

Photo by Julie Schartner.The Door County Land Trust recently established a new 332-acre nature preserve in the city of Sturgeon Bay.  This scenic property supports a diversity of habitat types including Lake Michigan dunes and shoreline, ridge and swale formations of ancient shorelines and towering hemlock forests.  View Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve photos.
